September’s Ganzekraal Jazz Festival was hopefully the start of something special. Weskus Distrik’s Jasper Jonker shares his enthusiasm for the weekend which welcomed spring, enjoyed perfect weather and was full of chill!
“Having the jazz festival at the magnificent Ganzekraal Holiday Resort was special, it must surely be one of the most stunning settings in South Africa, let alone the Weskus.
Imagine the backdrop to mellow jazz with the Atlantic Ocean a just step away?
Seeing it is one thing but feeling the vibe something else.
We’re hoping that this will become an annual and sought-after event in the Western Cape’s calendar, and also attract visitors for a memorable weekend.
As the first of its kind, the organisers learned some good lessons and it can only go from strength to strength.
Ganzekraal lends itself to memorable events and experiences, and Weskus Distrik is open to exploring opportunities where the private sector can collaborate with us and create something special”.
