Getting good work experience?
Yes, I am very happy because I am gaining a lot of experience I have not had before, and this opportunity Is helping me have a clearer perspective of what I want to do in the future.
Steepest learning curve?
The biggest learning curve for me was working in the call centre of EMS and understanding how things work there.
Your highlight?
The interventions have been a highlight for me because we serve the purpose of Disaster Management into the community and entertaining the community with our mascots. It makes me happy to make others happy.
Who is mentoring you?
Mr. Franquin Petersen, Head HOC (Head of Centre) at the WCDM Disaster Management Centre but I work closely with Mr Tevron Greeff.
How would describe your mentor?
I would describe him as strict, encouraging, supportive and inspiring.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
At this stage I see myself becoming a Provincial Traffic Officer.
How does it feel to be working at a champion municipality such as “Weskus”?
It feels good to be working for ‘WESKUS’ because whenever the community sees me wearing my Disaster Management Reflector Vest, they treat me with respect and admiration.
