What does your on-site function involve?
As the liaison between Solvem and Weskus, I manage projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between both entities. I provide on-site system support, which includes conducting end-user training to enhance system utilization and efficiency. I also facilitate the Learnership program, guiding participants through their learning journey and ensuring that they gain valuable skills and knowledge.
Having an on-site consultant is beneficial as I can directly observe Weskus’ infrastructure, workflows, team dynamics and being physically present allows me to better understand WCDM requirements and processes.
Your impressions of Weskus?
Weskus is a dynamic, vibrant, and forward-thinking municipality where leadership is focused on innovation and transparency. They are making strides towards becoming a smart city, with initiatives to collaborate with the private sector to benefit the community.
An unwavering commitment to effective governance and ethical leadership is a hallmark of Weskus, and they have a proud track record of service delivery. In terms of building continuity, the emphasis is on continuous growth and development, and this is also evident in their internship programme which Solvem supports.
Solvem, and I, are incredibly proud of our association with Weskus.
