Cruise ships to our region with visitors experiencing something truly unique is no longer a dream. Early days but it’s ‘under construction’.
Apart from the obvious benefits of bringing tourists to the Weskus, can this venture play a role in attracting investors? We think so. It can serve as an effective tool to gain global exposure in the right markets. With a compelling brand strategy and impactful marketing, it can help put Weskus on the global map.
We have a harbour (maybe, two) which can be developed for cruise liners, attracting investors. Weskus (the only Weskus in the world) is diverse, from endless beaches to rugged terrain.
This is underpinned by sound governance, solid infrastructure, AI and IoT technology, and a responsive emergency and security capability.
An initiative such as developing a cruise liner strategy also opens opportunities for SMMEs which develops the economy and promotes inclusiveness.
What’s on the horizon?
More than meets the eye!
