South Africa’s first official pipeline of smart artisans for smart cities has been unveiled, creating employment and business opportunities for our unemployed youth.
Conceptualised by Aizatron’s CEO Ansu Sooful, Digital Artisans is being driven by Paul Davids, founder and CEO of AIDE Institute for Digital Excellence. The initiative has been embraced by Weskus Distrik’s Executive Mayor RW ‘Boffie’ Strydom, MM David Joubert, and CFO Dr Johan Tesselaar.
Breaking the mould of traditional education, Digital Artisans offers hands-on digital skills training, entrepreneurship development, and real-world problem solving. Learners will be trained in subjects such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, IoT, digital manufacturing, and smart city solutions. In the process, they will acquire the tools to build careers and businesses.
