Fred-Earl believes that three factors played a role in Weskus Distrik being recognised as SA’s best run municipality, namely: consistent service delivery, diligent systems of accountability and an endowment of skilled personnel.
“A highlight? I would have to say achieving the 14th consecutive clean audit, hosting the sector-first Wavemaker Summit and convening all councillors of the Weskus region for the Weskus Conversation. At an individual level, it is how we all have different functions but work towards the same goals, and how each staff member’s contribution adds to the collective success of the organisation.
